		<description>Since this cartoon isn&#039;t in a newspaper, it&#039;s on my cartoon blog, not everyone would think politics. Political cartoons have MUCH fewer readers than regular comics - trot on over to Gocomics to see the difference in subscriptions and the asinine comments on the newspaper comics there.

And some people never get anything, ESPECIALLY political cartoons.  I don&#039;t think I explain the joke most of the time on this blog - I explain why I did it. People who are interested in the cartooning process like that.</description>

You always seem to doubt that your readers &quot;get it.&quot; Usually I would say that you&#039;re underestimating your audience&#039;s ability...but in this case, I actually think you&#039;re explaining them because you can see they don&#039;t really make much sense on their own. But explaining them only highlights this flaw. I&#039;m going to be bold again, and make a very basic recommendation: If you don&#039;t think the cartoon will be understood on it&#039;s own, don&#039;t publish it.</description>
